Biography

Samson Lee has more than 25 years of experience covering most aspects of facility management, project management, engineering, outsourcing and strategy development. He has a proven track record of delivering business and operational results.

As Vice President of Facilities Operations, Samson was with AllianceBernstein for the last 15 years, where he directed the development and coordination of facilities operations throughout the Asia Pacific to meet organizational goals, including short- and long-term planning and implementation, adhering to budget and schedule requirements.

Samson earned his master’s degree in FM from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, an IFMA Foundation Accredited Degree Program (ADP); and in 2017, he became a member of the foundation’s assessing team for ADP. He was formerly the president of IFMA’s Hong Kong Chapter (2015-17). He has served as an IFMA Foundation trustee (2017-21) and is chair of IFMA’s Asia Pacific Advisory Board (2020-21). In 2018, Samson received IFMA’s Award of Excellence for Asia Pacific Facility Manager of the Year. As an advocate for raising government recognition of the FM industry in Hong Kong, Samson worked with the Industry Training Advisory Committee (ITAC) to invite FM as a profession to the Qualification Framework Secretariat of HKSAR Government. He was also a committee member of the Professional Competency Standard Review Group helping in setting updated standards for the profession.

During his term as Hong Kong Chapter president, the chapter was honored with several IFMA Awards of Excellence in 2016, including Large Chapter of the Year, Chapter Web Communications and for the largest percentage of growth in membership.

Samson also collaborated with IFMA staff in planning and organizing World Workplace Asia in Hong Kong in 2017, while celebrating the Hong Kong Chapter’s 25th anniversary.
